Í dag (7. Júlí 2025) klukkan 04:38 varð jarðskjálfti með stærðina Mw3,4. Þessi jarðskjálftahrina varð nálægt svæði sem heitir Árnes. Meira en tugur jarðskjálfta kom í kjölfarið á stærsta jarðskjálftanum. Það eru engar tilkynningar um að þessi jarðskjálfti hafi fundist í sumarhúsum sem eru á þessu svæði en það er ekki hægt að útiloka að stærsti jarðskjálft
