The National Health Fund (CNS) has warned of a new wave of fraudulent emails using the organisation’s official logo. Fraudsters are sending out phishing emails claiming there are issues with medical payments, in an attempt to gain access to personal data via fake links.
In Luxembourg, there is a large-scale recall of Milbona chocolate protein pudding, which was sold in the Lidl supermarket chain from 31 July to 19 August. The reason for this is the possible contamination of the product with pathogenic bacteria capable of causing acute diarrhoea and vomiting.
Luxembourg’s winegrowers will face the same old bureaucratic hurdles during the upcoming harvest. A bill to simplify the recruitment of seasonal workers in agriculture was not passed by parliament in time. Luxembourg is set to host the Schueberfouer, the country’s largest annual fair, which is expected to attract up to 2 million visitors. Glasis Square will host 214 retail and entertainment outlets. In May 2026, the Luxembourg-based brewery Brasserie Nationale began exporting Bofferding beer to the UK. To distance itself from the image of an industrial giant, the brand is launching sales exclusively in aluminium cans, positioning the product as a modern craft beer.

A fire broke out this morning at the Luxembourg correctional centre. The fire started in one of the prison cells, resulting in one person being injured. Emergency services from several local authorities arrived promptly at the scene to deal with the situation.
